 Honda plans to convert all vehicle sales to electric and fuel cell vehicles by 2040

The company plans to shift its vehicle sales to fully EV (Electric Vehicle) and FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicles) vehicles by 2040 with the aim of reducing carbon emissions, according to the Engadget website.

Honda has decided to say goodbye to Fully petrol vehicles, and by 2030, 40% of transactions in the world's major car markets will be for EVs and FCVs, and by 2035 that number will increase to 80%. That is the only expectation of Honda.

In the latter part of this decade, Honda will focus on the production of EV and FCV vehicles based on the e: Architecture, which will be introduced to the North American market and later expanded to other countries.

Meanwhile, Honda is preparing to launch two new SUV models incorporating GM (General Motors)'s Ultium battery technology, which will be added to the North American market in 2024.

Not only Honda but many automakers around the world as well as many developed countries in the world have already put forward their future plans for EVs and many of those countries are expected to switch completely from petrol vehicles to electric vehicles before the end of this century.
